Nikkei Extends Gains Amid Semiconductor Rebound
The Nikkei Stock Average rose by 898 yen in the afternoon session on September 30, reaching 66,379.93. This increase followed a morning session where it had risen as much as 1,037.71 yen to 66,518.98 before profit-taking selling trimmed gains.
