Nvidia Boosts Indian Markets, but US Inflation Holds Back Gains
Indian equity benchmarks opened modestly higher on Thursday following Nvidia's stronger-than-expected earnings print and easing crude prices.
The BSE Sensex rose 59.25 points to 77,532.19, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 33.55 points to 24,241.30 as of 9:21 am.
Nvidia's quarterly revenue and adjusted earnings exceeded estimates, sending its stock up around four percent in after-hours trade on bullish next-year guidance.
However, the gains were capped by a hotter-than-expected US inflation reading overnight that pulled Wall Street lower and tempered risk appetite.
