NZ Economy Expands 0.2% in June Quarter
New Zealand's economy grew by 0.2% in the June quarter, according to Stats NZ's latest GDP figures.
This growth was driven by a number of industries, including construction, which rose 2.7% due to an increase in residential building activity.
The healthcare and social assistance sector also saw growth, with a 0.8% rise attributed to central government healthcare and social assistance, as well as private sector residential care services and social assistance.
However, the transport, postal, and warehousing industry was a major downward driver, falling 1.7% due to a decline in road transport and support services.
