NZ Economy Grinds Through Q2 with Modest Growth
New Zealand's economy expanded at a slower pace in the second quarter due to the impact of the Middle East crisis.
The country's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter, exceeding analysts' expectations of a 0.1% increase and surpassing the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's forecast of no growth.
Annually, GDP rose by 2.6%, according to Statistics New Zealand data, which was higher than the market's expected 2.2% increase.
