NZ Economy Sees Modest Growth Despite Fuel Price Pressures
New Zealand's economy has seen moderate growth in the June quarter, with GDP rising by 0.2% compared to the previous three months.
This figure is lower than many economists had predicted, who forecast quarterly growth between 0.1% and 0.3%, as well as annual growth of 2.2% to 2.4%.
The slowdown in growth can be attributed in part to surging fuel prices, which have particularly affected retail spending.
