NZ Economy Shows Resilience Amid Rising Oil Prices
New Zealand's economy showed resilience in the face of rising oil prices and fuel shortages in the second quarter, according to recent GDP data.
The Stats NZ report revealed a 0.2 percent increase in GDP for the June quarter, with annual growth reaching a two-year high of 1.7 percent.
BNZ Research Head Stephen Toplis described this as 'great' performance given the circumstances, noting that many economists were predicting a contraction during this period.
