NZ Economy Slows Amid Middle East Crisis
New Zealand's economy grew at a slower pace in the second quarter due to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
The country's gross domestic product (GDP) rose 0.2% in the second quarter compared to the prior quarter, exceeding analysts' forecasts of a 0.1% increase and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's prediction of no growth.
The annual GDP increased by 2.6%, according to Statistics New Zealand data released on Thursday.
