NZ Sharemarket Climbs 0.6% on Falling Inflation Expectations
The New Zealand sharemarket experienced a positive day on August 13th, increasing by more than 0.6% following the release of the Reserve Bank of NZ's survey on inflation.
The survey revealed that inflation is expected to fall significantly over the next two years, which contributed to the market's growth.
ANZ stated that the housing market remains soft due to higher interest rates and election uncertainty, but still expects house prices to ease slightly by the end of this year.
