NZ Sharemarket Rises Despite Inflation Warning
The New Zealand sharemarket gained ground despite Reserve Bank governor Anna Breman's warning that near-term inflation may be higher than expected.
The S&P/NZX 50 Index surged late in the afternoon and closed at 13,875.48, up 54.28 points or 0.39% after reaching an intraday low of 13,807.28.
This gain comes despite Breman's statement that near-term inflation may be higher than expected.
