NZD Hits Multi-Month Highs Amid USD Weakness
The New Zealand dollar is trading near multi-month highs, reaching $0.597 on Monday, as the US dollar remains under pressure.
The greenback's weakness follows last week's announcement from the US Treasury to increase its purchases of longer-dated government bonds.
Investors are also waiting for details on the US' sanctions campaign against Iran, which Tehran has dismissed as ineffective.
Meanwhile, New Zealand's retail sales fell 0.5% in the June quarter, missing expectations and reversing a 1% gain in the previous quarter.
