NZD Struggles Against USD Amid Ongoing Geopolitical Tensions

The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) continues to struggle against the US Dollar (USD), as geopolitical tensions and safe-haven demand keep the Greenback supported. The NZD/USD pair trades around 0.5770 on Tuesday, slightly lower on the day.

The pause in military strikes by the United States against Iran has tempered some of the optimism surrounding a diplomatic resolution, with US President Donald Trump warning that US strikes could resume if negotiations fail. This uncertainty is helping to maintain safe-haven demand for the USD.

Investors are also cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting, which begins later on Tuesday. The Fed is widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged on Wednesday, but markets will closely watch the policy statement and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's press conference for fresh clues on the future path of monetary policy.
