NZD/USD Rebounds on Stronger-than-Expected NZ GDP Growth
The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) has strengthened against the US Dollar after releasing stronger-than-expected second-quarter GDP growth, causing the NZD/USD pair to rebound from its three-day decline. This improvement in economic data halted the pair's losing streak and provided additional support due to the US Dollar's weakness.
The currency remains sensitive to interest rate expectations from both the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the Federal Reserve. Despite this, bearish momentum dominates as oversold signals and resistance converge, with the NZD/USD pair trading below its 20-, 50-, and 200-day moving averages.
The nearest support is at $0.5743, with resistance at $0.5809. The strong bearish pressure across short-, medium-, and long-term trends reinforces the dominance of longer-term sellers. Momentum remains negative on all key indicators, including the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 26, which indicates deep oversold conditions.
