NZD/USD Steady Amid Weaker USD, Fed Easing Expectations
The New Zealand Dollar (NZD/USD) traded steady around 0.5790 on Monday, despite a weaker US Dollar and expectations of monetary easing by the Federal Reserve.
The Greenback's decline followed reports of renewed diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran, reducing demand for safe-haven assets and triggering a sharp drop in Oil prices.
US economic data released on Monday showed Durable Goods Orders rose only 0.3% in June, below the market expectation of 1.6%, which kept investors cautious ahead of the Fed's monetary policy decision on Wednesday.
