The Old Age Security (OAS) payments for eligible Canadians are set to increase this week. The maximum amount for recipients will rise from $743.05 to $751.97 for those aged 65 to 74, provided their annual net income is less than $152,062.

For those 75 and older with net incomes under $157,923, the payments will increase from $817.36 to $827.17. This comes after a 1.2% increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the July to September period.

The OAS benefit is reassessed quarterly and adjusted annually in January for inflation. The latest adjustment brings OAS growth to 2.3% since July 2025, according to Service Canada.
