The week ahead in finance will be marked by several key events that could impact markets. Oracle is set to release its first-quarter earnings on Thursday, September 10, with analysts expecting a significant increase in revenue and capital expenditure.

However, traders are cautious due to the options market implying a potential 9.5% move following the results. If Oracle's shares break above $157, they may reach $180, while a drop below $150 could trigger a decline towards $120.

The European Central Bank (ECB) is also expected to make its interest-rate decision on Thursday, with markets pricing in an almost 100% chance of a rate hike. The ECB's guidance will have a significant impact on the EUR/USD pair and could potentially weaken the euro if it takes a dovish tone.

The US Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for August is also due out on Friday, September 11. Analysts expect headline CPI to rise by 0.4% month-on-month in August, which could put pressure on the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates later this month.
