Pakistan Dollar Rate Holds Near Rs278 in October 2026 Forex Update
The US dollar maintained its position near the Rs278 mark in Pakistan’s open market as new foreign exchange rates were announced on Monday, October 5, 2026. The greenback was priced at Rs277.90 for buying and Rs278.10 for selling, while interbank rates showed the dollar at Rs277.00 for bank buying and Rs277.50 under the TT Clean rate.
Other major currencies also saw fluctuations in the open market. The euro was quoted at Rs312.48 for buying and Rs319.10 for selling, while the British pound was priced at Rs366.98 for buying and Rs372.73 for selling. The Saudi riyal stood at Rs74.05 for buying and Rs74.60 for selling, with the UAE dirham at Rs75.75 for buying and Rs76.60 for selling.
The Australian dollar was available at Rs192.22 for buying and Rs198.05 for selling. The Canadian dollar was quoted at Rs193.93 for buying and Rs199.25 for selling, while the Chinese yuan was priced at Rs38.30 for buying and Rs38.92 for selling. The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7342 for buying and Rs1.8339 for selling.
In the interbank market, the euro was quoted at Rs311.72 for bank buying and Rs312.29 for bank selling. The British pound stood at Rs365.94 for buying and Rs366.60 for selling. The Saudi riyal was priced at Rs73.74 for bank buying and Rs73.87 for bank selling. The Australian dollar was quoted at Rs192.12 for bank buying and Rs192.47 for bank selling, while the Canadian dollar was priced at Rs194.91 for buying and Rs195.26 for selling.
