Pakistan Rupee Extends Winning Streak Against US Dollar to Record 220 Days
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its winning streak against the US Dollar (USD), closing in green for the 220th consecutive day on Friday. The PKR closed at 277.62 after gaining three paisas against the USD today.
This consistent gain against the dollar started on December 25, 2025. Other currencies like the UAE Dirham (AED) and Saudi Riyal (SAR) did not affect the rupee's stability in this regard.
The PKR lost value against other major currencies, including the British Pound (GBP), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Euro (EUR), and Australian Dollar (AUD). Specifically, it lost Rs. 2.45 against the GBP and Rs. 1.4 against the CAD.
