The Pakistani rupee (PKR) has closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for its 233rd consecutive day, ending the week on a positive note. According to data, the PKR gained one paisa against the USD on Friday, closing at 277.41.

This consistent gain is a result of the PKR's performance since December 25, 2025, when it started reporting gains against the dollar. In contrast, the rupee has lost value against other major currencies, including the British Pound (GBP), Australian Dollar (AUD), Euro (EUR), and Canadian Dollar (CAD).

Specifically, the PKR dropped Rs. 1.08 against the GBP, 47 paisas against the AUD, 46 paisas against the EUR, and 14 paisas against the CAD. However, it remained stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) and Saudi Riyal (SAR).
