Pakistani Rupee Extends Winning Streak Against USD
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its winning streak against the US Dollar (USD), closing in green for the 243rd consecutive day on Friday.
This strong performance is likely to have a ripple effect, with predictions suggesting that the British Pound (GBP) could drop below Rs. 370 next week due to energy shocks affecting European commodity markets.
The rupee gained one paisa against the US Dollar today, closing at 277.25, and also reported gains against other major currencies such as the Canadian Dollar (CAD), with a gain of 20 paisas.
