Pakistani Rupee Strengthens to 27705 Against US Dollar
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) extended its winning streak against the US dollar (USD) for the 255th consecutive day, closing at 277.05 on Tuesday. This marks a gain of one paisa compared to the previous day's close. Analysts suggest that at this pace, the rupee could soon strengthen further to 276 against the dollar.
The rupee has been on a consistent upward trend against the USD since December 25, 2025. However, its performance against other major currencies was mixed. The PKR lost 21 paisas against the British pound (GBP) and 42 paisas against the Australian dollar (AUD). It also slipped 69 paisas against the euro (EUR). Conversely, the rupee gained 37 paisas against the Canadian dollar (CAD).
Against the UAE dirham (AED), the PKR remained stable, while it lost one paisa against the Saudi riyal (SAR). The data highlights the fluctuating nature of the rupee's performance across different global currencies, reflecting varying economic dynamics and market conditions.
