Brazil's Central Bank is in talks to connect its instant payment system, Pix, to TIPS, a similar platform used in Europe. The negotiations are at an early stage and have been included in the European Central Bank's work schedule.

An ECB document obtained by Folha shows that studies for the connection are currently in the pre-investigation phase. This involves analyzing the legal, technical, security, and operational aspects of the systems.

The ECB confirmed the contents of the document to Folha, stating that a preliminary investigation is underway exploring a possible connection between TIPS and Pix.
