Pound Holds Firm Against Dollar Amid Limited Market Volatility
The British Pound remains relatively stable against the US Dollar, trading around key moving averages. Scotiabank's Global FX Strategy team notes that Sterling has been modestly firmer in recent sessions, but market volatility is limited due to a lack of UK data reports.
According to TMGM Analysis, the pound continues to trade within a broad range, with short-term technicals indicating a neutral to bullish outlook. Last week's rise in Cable and trend oscillators suggest some upside potential for the pound, potentially pushing it towards 1.3555/1.3560.
Support levels are identified around 1.3390/1.3400, suggesting that if the pound breaks through this range, it could retest its recent peak.
