RBA and DPP Appointments Bring New Leadership to Key Positions
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Monetary Policy Board has welcomed a new part-time member, Melinda Cilento. She will serve for five years from September 1st.
Cilento brings extensive experience as a senior economist and policy leader. Her background includes roles at the Committee for Economic Development of Australia, Productivity Commission, and Business Council of Australia.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers praised Cilento's broad expertise and deep understanding of economic matters.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Broadbent SC has been appointed Associate Director of Public Prosecutions. He will lead the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in prosecuting Commonwealth law cases for five years from October 6th.
