The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Index of Commodity Prices saw an increase in September 2026, rising by 1.4% on a monthly average basis in Special Drawing Rights (SDR) terms.

This follows an increase of 0.3% in August and marks the continuation of a broader trend, with the index up 15.5% over the past year in SDR terms.

The rural, non-rural, and base metals subindices all experienced growth in September.

However, it's worth noting that iron ore, alumina, and copper ore prices actually decreased during this period.
