RBA Keeps Fighting Inflation with Fourth Rate Hike This Year
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has increased its cash rate by 25bps to 4.60% for the fourth time this year, as it continues to battle inflation.
The decision was widely expected and came after the bank cited disruptions in global oil supplies as a driver for domestic inflation.
Many analysts expect another rate rise this year, with the cash rate forecasted to end 2026 at 4.85%.
