RBA to Reassess Inflation-Fighting Measures in September
Australia's central bank will assess whether current interest rates are sufficient to control inflation at its September meeting, according to Governor Michele Bullock.
The Reserve Bank of Australia's Monetary Policy Board will review incoming data and evaluate how risks are developing in the economy. Market expectations are already pointing towards a potential rate hike.
Bullock stated that the central question for policymakers is whether the monetary policy tightening implemented so far will be enough to return inflation to target within a reasonable timeframe.
