RBA to Reassess Interest Rates Amid Ongoing Inflation Concerns
RBA Governor Michele Bullock said the central bank will assess at its September meeting whether current interest rates are sufficient to control inflation and bring it back to target.
The Reserve Bank of Australia's Monetary Policy Board will review incoming data and assess how risks are developing before making a decision.
Bullock noted that market expectations are for the board to keep the benchmark interest rate steady at 4.35% for another meeting, but emphasized that this is not a given.
