RBA Weighs Rate Sufficiency Amid Inflation Concerns
RBA Governor Michele Bullock is set to lead a key meeting of Australia's central bank board later this month.
The Monetary Policy Board will meet on September 28, 2026, to assess whether its benchmark interest rate is sufficient to control price pressures and return inflation to target.
Bullock said in her opening statement to a parliamentary panel that the key question facing the board is whether the tightening of monetary policy has been enough to bring inflation back on track in a reasonable time frame.
