RBC Adds €3 Billion in Covered Bonds to London Stock Exchange
Royal Bank of Canada has added €3 billion in covered bonds to the London Stock Exchange's main market. The bank issued two tranches under its €75 billion Global Covered Bond Programme: €2.25 billion with a 3.375% interest rate maturing on September 15, 2031, and €750 million with a 3.750% interest rate maturing on the same date in 2036.
The bonds are guaranteed by RBC Covered Bond Guarantor Limited Partnership and were issued according to a prospectus dated July 9, 2026, supplemented on August 28, 2026. Final terms for both tranches were published today.
The securities have not been registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933 and are only offered in offshore transactions to non-U.S. persons under Regulation S. The bonds are targeted at eligible counterparties and professional clients only under MiFID II and UK MiFIR product governance rules.
