RBC Issues Auto-Callable Barrier Notes Tied to Russell 2000, S&P 500, and EURO STOXX 50 Indexes
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has announced its plan to issue auto-callable barrier notes tied to three equity indexes: the Russell 2000 Index, S&P 500 Index, and EURO STOXX 50 Index. The notes will mature on October 28, 2031, and are designed to be automatically called monthly if each underlying index closes at or above its designated Call Value.
The call return rate is a minimum of 10% annually, with the first Call Settlement Amount being at least $1,100,000 per $1,000 principal. This amount will increase to at least $1,500,000 on the final Valuation Date in October 2031. If the notes are not called and the lowest performing underlier's Final Underlier Value falls below its Barrier Value, investors will lose 1% of principal for every 1% decline below the Initial Underlier Value.
The Barrier Value is set at 75% of each underlying index's Initial Underlier Value, calculated based on the closing value on October 23, 2026. The notes do not pay periodic interest and payments depend solely on the performance of the lowest performing index among the three.
