RBC Stock Price Dips Following Subordinated Debenture Offering
Royal Bank of Canada's stock price took a slight hit on October 1, 2026, after-hours. The RY stock price closed at EUR 173.91 prior to the announcement and dropped by 0.76 percent to EUR 172.59.
The bank had announced an offering of non-viability contingent capital subordinated debentures through its Canadian Medium Term Note Program on September 23, with an expected closing date of October 1, 2026.
The notes will carry a fixed interest rate of 4.67 percent annually until October 1, 2031, then reset to daily compounded CORRA plus 1.16 percent until maturity on October 1, 2036.
