Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has once again secured the top spot in Canada and the third position globally in the 2026 Evident AI Index, marking the fifth consecutive year the bank has achieved this distinction. The annual index, published by AI benchmarking platform Evident, evaluates financial institutions across four key areas: Talent, Innovation, Leadership, and Transparency.
RBC stood out with top 10 performances in all four pillars, showcasing significant improvements in Talent, climbing four positions to rank #8, and Leadership, where it moved into the second place globally. The 2026 Evident AI Index, first introduced in January 2023, provides a comprehensive assessment of AI maturity within the financial services sector.
