RCBC Wins Big with Innovative Digital Banking Services
RCBC is revolutionizing banking services for two distinct groups in the Philippines: Social Security System (SSS) members and Filipino freelancers. The bank's innovative initiatives earned it two recognitions at The Asian Banker Philippine Awards 2026.
The MySSS Card, developed in partnership with SSS, provides a 'three-in-one' setup combining access to the SSS digital platform, an RCBC DiskarTech digital banking account, and a debit card. This service tackles traditional onboarding and documentary requirements for SSS members, making it easier for them to manage their finances online.
The other side of this initiative is the RCBC Pulz U.S. Virtual Account, designed for Filipino freelancers who may not have a U.S. address or Social Security Number. With this account, customers in the Philippines can receive and manage U.S. dollar payments and facilitate international transfers.
According to Reggie Cariaso, RCBC president and chief executive officer, 'These awards reflect our commitment to building technology that solves real, everyday challenges for Filipinos.' The recognition also highlights the bank's efforts to combine customer acquisition and financial inclusion with a digital platform connecting banking, cross-border payments, and other financial services.
