Rosen Introduces Bill to Repeal Trump's Tariffs on Canada
US Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) has joined her colleagues in introducing the Banning Antiquated Duties and Delivering Equitable American Levies (BAD DEAL) Act, a bill aimed at repealing Donald Trump's 50% tariffs on Canada.
Rosen stated that Trump's trade war with Canada, Nevada's second-largest trade partner, would hurt the economy and raise costs for families even more. She expressed her opposition to Trump's across-the-board tariffs, which she believes have wreaked havoc on American budgets.
The BAD DEAL Act seeks to repeal Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930, which was previously unused until Trump used it against Canada. The bill would also refund all duties paid under this authority.
