Royal Bank of Canada has reduced its stake in Fastenal Company by 4.2% during the first quarter, according to the company's most recent Form 13F filing with the SEC.

The firm owned approximately 7,847,992 shares of Fastenal's stock after selling 345,306 shares during the quarter. This represents about 0.68% of Fastenal's outstanding shares and a total value of $364,146,000 as of its most recent filing with the SEC.

This is not an isolated incident; other hedge funds have also made changes to their positions in the company. Elyxium Wealth LLC purchased a new position in shares of Fastenal during the fourth quarter worth about $25,000, while Palladiem LLC acquired a new stake in the company during the same period worth approximately $25,000.

Institutional investors and hedge funds own 81.38% of Fastenal's stock.
