Royal Bank of Canada Issues Auto-Callable Enhanced Return Barrier Notes with Potential for 150% Return
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has issued Auto-Callable Enhanced Return Barrier Notes linked to a basket of five equity securities. The notes have a maturity date of October 31, 2029.
The notes will be automatically called if the closing value of the basket is greater than or equal to the initial basket value on November 2, 2027, which would result in investors receiving at least $1,155 per $1,000 principal amount. If not, the final payment at maturity will depend on the performance of the basket underliers.
The notes have a participation rate of 150%, meaning that if the final basket value is greater than the initial basket value, investors will receive 150% of the basket return. However, if the final basket value is less than or equal to the barrier value but greater than or equal to the initial basket value, investors will receive their principal amount.
The notes are subject to various risks, including the possibility of losing a portion or all of the principal amount at maturity, and payments on the notes are subject to RBC's credit risk. Investors should carefully review the terms of the notes before making an investment decision.
