Ruble, Euro Plummet as Tenge Rises in Kyrgyzstan
The Kyrgyzstani som has seen significant fluctuations in value against several major currencies. The Russian ruble, euro, and Chinese yuan have all depreciated in value, while the Kazakh tenge has shown steady growth. According to data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange offices in Bishkek, the US dollar has remained stable.
The official rate for the euro has fallen below 100 soms again, setting a new low for September. The Russian ruble's value dropped sharply after an increase the day before. In contrast, the Kazakh tenge has seen a slight increase in value, rising by 0.41 percent.
The exchange rates for other major currencies have also changed. The US dollar remains unchanged at 87.4498 soms, while the Chinese yuan decreased by 0.08 percent. The average rate in exchange offices shows similar fluctuations.
