Rupee Edges Up Against Dollar, Yen Weakens on Rate Hike Expectations

The Pakistani rupee gained a small amount against the US dollar in the interbank market on Friday, closing at 277.25.

This marks a gain of Re0.01 compared to Thursday's settlement price of 277.26 against the greenback.

Globally, the Japanese yen weakened against both the US dollar and euro as traders prepared for a potential interest rate hike from the Bank of Japan.

The British pound remained at a two-and-a-half-month low after the Bank of England held interest rates and paused government bond sales.
