Rupee Falls 2 Paise as Geopolitical Tensions Drive Brent Crude Higher
The Indian rupee closed at 94.97 against the US dollar on Wednesday, marking a marginal loss of 2 paise from its previous close.
This comes as Brent crude prices have risen to $95 per barrel and the dollar index is hovering around 99.80 due to renewed US-Iran tensions and risk aversion.
Anuj Choudhary, Research Analyst at Mirae Asset ShareKhan, expects the rupee to trade with a slight negative bias amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
