Rupee Falls to 95.91 Against US Dollar Amid Strong Greenback
The Indian rupee slipped 3 paise to 95.91 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday, weighed down by a strong American currency and foreign fund outflows.
However, the domestic equity markets provided some support to the local currency, despite elevated crude oil prices due to tensions in West Asia.
The rupee opened at 95.89 against the US dollar but fell further to 95.91, trading 3 paise lower from its previous close.
Since September 4, the rupee has weakened by over 1% or 113 paise, settling at 95.88 against the American currency on Tuesday.
