Rupee Opens Higher Against Dollar Amid Ongoing Iran Talks
The Indian rupee started September 23 with a slight gain against the US dollar. The currency opened at 95.56 per dollar, which is 3 paise higher than Tuesday's close of 95.59.
Fintech company Finrex predicted that the rupee would open at 95.57, citing low oil prices and a strong dollar index. However, it remains uncertain whether the Iran talks will lead to any breakthroughs or further clarity on the situation.
As a result, financial analysts suggest that the rupee may remain within a certain range for now. Exporters are advised to sell near 95.85-95 levels if possible, while importers should look to buy around 95.50.
