Rupee Opens Lower Against Dollar Amid Higher Oil Prices
The Indian rupee opened marginally lower against the US dollar on September 28 due to stalled US-Iran talks pushing oil prices higher.
At the opening, the rupee was trading at 95.87 per dollar, 5 paise lower than Friday's close of 95.82.
According to Finrex, despite Brent oil for November being higher at $105.95 due to Trump rejecting the peace proposal from Iran, the rupee is expected to remain in the range of 95.50 to 96.00 with RBI continuing to hold the 96.00 level.
Asian currencies traded mostly lower against the US dollar, with the Indonesian rupiah being the only gainer at 0.07%.
