Rupee Stabilizes Against Dollar Amid Global Economic Volatility
Currency exchange rates in Pakistan play a crucial role in shaping various economic aspects of the country. The value of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) against major currencies like the US dollar (USD), euro, and British pound has significant consequences for businesses, consumers, and the government.
The current exchange rate situation is closely monitored by overseas Pakistanis and investors on a daily basis. Fluctuations in exchange rates affect foreign direct investment (FDI), making a stable and predictable environment more attractive to foreign investors.
According to the latest data available, the US dollar remained stable against the Pakistani rupee with a buying rate of 278.75 and a selling rate of 279.95 on July 27, 2026. Other notable rates include the euro trading at 320.39 for buying and 324.68 for selling, while the UK pound sterling is at 375.35 and 379.95.
The Japanese yen remains lower in value at 1.7/1.8, reflecting ongoing market trends. Kuwaiti dinar and Omani rial also saw some fluctuations, trading at 891.18/901.70 and 726.75/736.90 respectively.
