Rupee Weakens Further Against US Dollar Amid Market Uncertainties
The Indian rupee weakened by 8 paise on Tuesday, closing at 96.43 against the US dollar. This decline was driven by ongoing foreign capital outflows and lingering uncertainty surrounding a potential US-Iran deal.
A drop in global crude oil prices and a weaker US dollar helped limit the rupee's fall, according to forex traders. The rupee opened the day at 96.29 and fluctuated between 96.29 and 96.45 before settling at its final rate.
The rupee had already depreciated by 10 paise on Monday, closing at 96.35 against the US dollar. The recent downward trend reflects broader market anxieties and shifting global economic conditions.
