Russia Adjusts Ruble Exchange Rates Amid Market Fluctuations
Moscow's central bank has adjusted its official exchange rates for the ruble against major currencies, including the US dollar and Chinese yuan. As of August 22nd, the Bank of Russia reported that the ruble gained 43.39 kopecks against the dollar, settling at approximately 82.92 rubles per dollar.
The move also saw the ruble rise against the Chinese yuan by 7.14 kopecks, setting its official exchange rate at roughly 12.33 rubles per yuan. However, the Russian currency weakened slightly against the euro by 12.66 kopecks, bringing the European currency's rate to about 96.86 rubles.
