Shell plc has announced its interim dividend for the third quarter of 2026, setting the payout at US$0.3906 per ordinary share. Shareholders have the option to receive their dividends in US dollars, euros, or pounds sterling, with default currencies varying based on how shares are held. For those holding shares through Euroclear Nederland, the default is euros, while shareholders in certificated or uncertificated forms, including CREST members, will receive pounds sterling by default.
The dividend timetable includes key dates such as the ex-dividend dates for ADSs and ordinary shares on November 13 and November 12, respectively, with the payment date set for December 21. Shareholders must make their currency elections by November 27, with the pound sterling and euro equivalents to be announced on December 7.
Shell also highlighted its Dividend Reinvestment Programmes (DRIPs), which allow shareholders to reinvest their dividends to purchase additional shares. These programmes are offered through various intermediaries, including Equiniti Financial Services Limited, ABN-AMRO NV, and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Shareholders interested in participating must make a valid dividend reinvestment election before the published deadline.
The announcement included a cautionary note regarding the separate legal entities within the Shell Group and the forward-looking nature of certain statements. Shell emphasized that actual results could differ materially from those expressed in forward-looking statements due to various risks and uncertainties.
