SNB Keeps Interest Rate at 0%, Maintains Status Quo on Monetary Policy
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has maintained its key interest rate at 0% since June 2025. In its quarterly decision, the central bank chose to keep monetary policy unchanged due to low inflation in Switzerland.
The SNB aims to keep inflation between 0% and 2%, and despite a slight acceleration in inflation caused by soaring oil prices, the current rate is seen as appropriate for achieving this goal.
The central bank also warned that trade policy environment and exchange rate developments remain sources of uncertainty.
