SNB Keeps Policy Rate at 0%, Cites Rising Inflation
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) kept its policy rate at 0% in its September meeting, as expected by markets. This rate has been maintained since mid-2025.
Policymakers stated that their current stance is still appropriate for maintaining price stability and supporting economic development.
The SNB noted that inflation has risen to 0.8% in August from 0.6% in May, mainly due to higher energy prices.
