The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has updated its official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of August 5. The regulator's website now displays the latest figures.

The Kazakh tenge saw a significant change, with an increase of 0.82 per cent from 0.1838 to 0.1853 KGS. This makes it stronger against the som compared to other currencies.

Meanwhile, the Russian rouble fell by 0.73 per cent from 1.0970 to 1.0890 KGS, making it weaker than before. The euro also declined, but only slightly at 0.15 per cent from 100.7818 to 100.6331 KGS.

The som has therefore strengthened against both the rouble and the euro. On the other hand, the Chinese yuan gained a minimal 0.02 per cent with an exchange rate of 12.9501 KGS. The US dollar remained unchanged at 87.45 KGS.
