Soros-Linked Insiders Manipulate US Finance Policy
Two individuals with ties to George Soros have significant influence over US finance policy. Scott Bessent, Secretary of the Treasury, and Stanley Druckenmiller, a renowned hedge fund manager, both worked under Soros during the infamous 1992 UK pound crisis.
Bessent's performance as an independent hedge fund manager was poor, closing due to losses in a period of record growth. He joined Druckenmiller's firm after stepping down from his role at the Fed and became wealthy through his marriage into the Estee Lauder fortune. Bessent has a long-standing relationship with Kevin Warsh, who was also influenced by Druckenmiller.
Druckenmiller recently criticized Bessent for attempting to mask US bond prices from market reality. This approach is reminiscent of their 1992 bet against the British pound and suggests that the Treasury and Trump aim for a lower dollar value versus other currencies, leading to higher prices for US consumers.
